FarewellOS For independent funeral homes

Frequently asked questions

Ownership, pricing, AI, territory and product status—answered plainly.

A strong commercial relationship starts with clear boundaries rather than assumptions hidden inside a proposal.

What is FarewellOS?

FarewellOS is a specialist website, growth and operating platform for independent funeral homes. It connects website management, search visibility, trust marketing, advertising, call protection and reporting under one roof.

Is FarewellOS simply an SEO agency?

No. SEO and local visibility are important parts of the service, but FarewellOS is designed as the connected system around the whole journey: being found, earning trust, receiving the call and understanding what produced the enquiry.

Who owns the domain, Google profiles and business data?

The funeral home should retain ownership of its domain, business identity, Google Business Profile, advertising account, reviews and business data. FarewellOS owns and licenses its software, templates, automation, workflows and platform intellectual property.

Do we need to replace our existing website?

Not always. FarewellOS can assess whether the current website can be improved safely or whether a controlled rebuild would be more economical. No migration should begin until content, rankings, analytics and technical risks have been reviewed.

Will AI write everything automatically?

No. AI can reduce repetitive work, prepare drafts and identify opportunities, but funeral-sector wording, advertising decisions and sensitive call rules require human review. Automation supports judgement; it does not replace it.

Can FarewellOS manage Google Ads?

Yes. The live advertising service can include campaign structure, negative keywords, landing pages, conversion tracking, click-fraud controls and reporting based on calls and qualified enquiries. Advertising spend is paid separately.

What does AI-search visibility mean?

It means making the funeral home clear and trustworthy enough to be understood by emerging search experiences, including AI-generated answers. The work includes accurate business information, useful answers, real expertise, structured data, reviews, external mentions and strong page organisation.

Is FirstCall Protection already live?

FirstCall is a pilot module. The call framework and safety rules are being developed for controlled testing with established telephony and human-reception partners. It will only be sold as live after the escalation and quality standards have been proven.

Will FirstCall book funerals or give advice?

No. Its purpose is to identify the call type, collect essential contact information, escalate urgent or sensitive calls and send a clear summary. It must not book funerals, impersonate staff or give medical, legal, coroner or safeguarding advice.

Is the full funeral-home operating system available?

The current framework already manages the FarewellOS website, service content, enquiries and reporting foundations. The full multi-client funeral-home operations system is a roadmap product that will be shaped with founding partners.

Do you protect client territories?

FarewellOS can offer agreed geographical protection so it does not work with a direct local competitor in the same defined territory. Leicester and Leicestershire remain protected for Bay Tree Funerals.

Can multi-location funeral businesses use FarewellOS?

Yes, but pricing and scope depend on the number of locations, profiles, websites, campaigns and call routes. Each location needs accurate local information and clear reporting.

Can FarewellOS work outside the United Kingdom?

The brand and platform are being designed for international expansion. Each country will require local terminology, advertising practice, privacy controls, funeral-sector knowledge and appropriate integrations before launch.

How much does it cost?

Founding packages begin at a deliberately accessible monthly level, with setup fees based on the condition of the existing website and the number of locations. Advertising spend, call usage, photography and major migrations are separate.

How do we begin?

Start with a private visibility review. FarewellOS will examine the website, local search presence, reputation, advertising, call journey and technical risks before recommending a package.
